Fair play and anti-cheat
A skill competition is only meaningful if the scores are real. Here is what we do to make sure they are.
Every run is recorded
Each entry stores a complete input record: the actions taken, their timing, and the resulting state at each step. The score is derived from that record rather than reported by the client, which means a modified client cannot simply submit a number.
Verification before payout
Prize-winning entries are re-scored from the stored record before any prize is awarded. If the replay does not reproduce the submitted score, the entry is void.
What counts as cheating
- Automation, scripting, macros or bots of any kind
- Modified clients, memory editing or injected code
- Multiple accounts operated by one person
- Account sharing, or entering on behalf of another person
- Deliberate exploitation of a scoring bug rather than reporting it
- Interfering with another participant's ability to play
Enforcement
Confirmed cheating results in disqualification from the competition, forfeiture of any prize, and removal from the platform. Where an entry fee was paid, it is not refunded in cases of confirmed cheating. Repeat or coordinated abuse is permanently banned.
Accounts are reviewed before a first prize is paid. Statistically implausible results are flagged for manual replay review.
Reporting a problem
If you believe a result is wrong, or you have found a scoring bug, write to [email protected] with the competition name and your entry reference. Reported bugs that we confirm are credited, and the reporter is not penalised for having encountered one.
Ranking integrity
Because outcomes are skill-determined, rankings should be stable over time. We publish aggregate statistics showing the consistency of player placement across competitions. If results were driven by chance those statistics would look random, and they do not - which is the strongest available evidence that this is a game of skill.
