Competition rules
1. Promoter
Competitions are promoted by OMD AS, Froyas Gate 15, 0273 Oslo, Norway, company number NO-928847532 ("we", "us").
2. Nature of the competition
Each competition is a game of skill. The outcome is determined solely by the participant's performance measured against a scoring formula published before entry opens. No element of the result is determined by chance. There is no draw, no lottery and no wagering.
3. Eligibility
- Participants must be aged 18 or over on the date of entry.
- Participants must be resident in an eligible territory. Eligible territories: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom..
- Excluded territories: Skill Arena Hub is not available in the United States, France, or any jurisdiction where skill-based competitions with entry fees are prohibited..
- Employees of the promoter, their immediate families and anyone professionally connected with the competition may not enter.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts void all associated entries.
4. Entry
[Set out the entry mechanism in full: how to enter, opening and closing times with time zone, entry fee if any, whether a free entry route exists and how to use it, and whether entries are refundable. If you offer a free entry route it must give the same chance of the same prize on the same terms.]
5. Scoring and tie-breaks
The scoring formula for each competition is published on that competition's page before entry opens and is not altered once entry is open. Ties are resolved by the published tie-break criterion, which is always a further measure of skill. Where a formula is found to contain an error, the competition is voided and entry fees are returned in full.
6. Verification
Every entry is recorded. Prize-winning entries are re-scored from the stored record before any prize is awarded. Entries whose replay does not reproduce the submitted score are void.
7. Disqualification
We may disqualify an entry for automation or scripting, modified clients, multiple accounts, account sharing, deliberate exploitation of a scoring defect, interference with other participants, or providing false information. Disqualification forfeits any prize.
8. Prizes
Prizes for each competition are published on its page before entry opens and are awarded strictly by final ranking. Prizes are non-transferable and, unless stated, non-exchangeable. See prizes and eligibility for claim periods, verification and tax responsibility.
9. Results
Leaderboards are published when a competition closes. Winners are notified by [method] within 1 days.
10. Disputes
Result disputes must be raised within 1 days of publication, to [email protected], quoting the entry reference. Disputes are resolved by re-scoring the stored record under the published formula.
11. Liability
Nothing in these rules excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights under Norwegian law or the equivalent legislation applicable in your country of residence.
12. Governing law
These rules are governed by the law of Norway, and the courts of Norway have jurisdiction.
