Why this is skill, not chance
The critical detail is when the sequence is created. It is generated once, when the competition is set up, and then frozen. Every entrant sees the same steps in the same order. Nothing is produced while you play.
If the sequence were generated live, one player could get an easy run and another a hard one, and part of the outcome would come down to the draw. That would be chance, and it would change what this platform legally is. So it is not done that way.
Scoring is (longest correct sequence × 50) + max(0, 300 − total seconds). Memory span dominates; speed is a smaller secondary term, so rushing cannot compensate for a shorter span.
